The Basics

The Ravelco Anti Theft Device is installed in an easily accessible place under or flush mounted in the dashboard. A removable 16 pin male plug (which when not in use connects to your key chain) makes all the electronic connections.

A hidden armored steel cable protects the wires from the rear of the Ravelco base on through to the engine compartment where all the connections are made and camouflaged. When the plug is removed from the Ravelco, it is impossible to start the vehicle. There are more than 100,000 different combinations with No Master Plugs.

How does the Ravelco® work?

The Ravelco base unit is installed in or underneath your dash. The wires from the back of the base unit are connected to various electrical components your engine needs to run (such as the ignition, starter, fuel injection system, fuel pump, engine sensors, etc.). We give the owner the ability to prevent the flow of electricity to those systems by pulling the plug out of the Ravelco base unit.

Why the Ravelco® Is So Effective

Underneath the dash the wires behind the Ravelco base unit are protected with steel, so thieves can't get access to them. Even if they did, all the wires are the same color, and there is no pattern to give away the pairs. Inside the engine compartment, all the wires are hidden inside the factory wiring, and behind engine components. Thieves want to get in your car and be gone within 5 minutes. A thief would have to unravel your car's electrical system, and thieves just don't have that kind of time.

The Ravelco® is keyed to your car

There are no master plugs for the Ravelco. With more than 100,000 possible combinations for the Ravelco Anti-Theft Device, the specific physical signature of your vehicle's plug cannot be guessed. The base unit is installed in your vehicle, either bracket mounted under the dash, flush mounted in the dash, or concealed from view. When you leave your car, you remove the plug from the Ravelco base unit and attach it to your key chain. Without the plug, electricity can't flow to key vehicle components. Because we are disabling various engine components, there is no power draw form the car's battery, and no need to replace batteries in a remote.

100% Effective and 100% Reliable

It's not enough that an anti-theft device is 100% effective in preventing thieves from hot wiring your vehicle. The Ravelco does not interfere with other alarms or tracking systems installed in your vehicle. No other system is affected by the installation and use of the Ravelco. For owners who want to have multiple layers of protection, an alarm, anti-theft device, and/or a tracking system, the Ravelco is the perfect fit.

Our Lifetime Warranty offers you additional protection

We are so confident in the quality of the Ravelco Anti-Theft Device that we offer a Lifetime Warranty for the original owner. If the system wears out, we'll replace it for free. Additionally, if your car is subject to a theft attempt, we will come out and ensure your Ravelco is operating normally at no cost. If the unit is damaged during a theft attempt, we'll replace it for free the first time.
