The Ravelco is not an alarm system. It is the most effective automotive anti-theft device available. A Ravelco equipped vehicle cannot be hotwired by a would-be thief. The Ravelco can be installed in addition to any alarm system, and works with chipped keys. High Desert Ravelco offers custom configurations for your vehicle.

The Ravelco base unit is usually installed in or under a vehicle's dashboard. It is connected to various critical electrical components such as the ignition, starter, fuel injection system, fuel pump, or engine sensors. The flow of electricity to those systems is interrupted by pulling the plug out of the Ravelco base unit.

When the Ravelco plug is removed from the base unit, it clips conveniently to the owner's key ring. Without the plug in the base unit, the vehicle is completely disabled. The Ravelco does all of this without the use of electricity from the vehicle, therefore it cannot be disabled by removing electrical functionality from the vehicle.

Unlike other systems, the Ravelco is a dual-circuit interrupter. It does not draw current from a vehicle's battery, and it cannot short out electrical systems or components.
